A)             Important Advisory regarding Indian nationals travelling to third countries via Nepal

 

1. Indian nationals travelling to third countries via Nepal may please note the recent notifications of the Department of Immigration and Ministry of Health and Population of Government of Nepal.

 

2. As per the Notification of 26 April 2021 of Department of Immigration of the Ministry of Home Affairs of Nepal, “the arrival of foreigners (including Indian nationals) intending to travel to third countries via Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), Kathmandu and using TIA as transit airport will be restricted from 28 April 2021 mid night till the next notice”.  Accordingly, immigration authorities at TIA are not allowing Indian nationals who arrived in Nepal after 28, April 2021 to travel to third countries from Nepal.

 

3. Indian nationals are advised accordingly to avoid travel to Nepal for the purposes of onward journeys to third countries.

 

B)           Notice regarding No Objection Certificate (NOC) to Indian Nationals travelling to third countries from Nepal

 

Indian Nationals who travel from India to Nepal by air route on Indian passport (with clear immigration stamp) do not require No Objection Certificate (NOC) till September 19, 2021 to travel to third countries. However, this rule will apply to only those Indian nationals who arrived in Nepal prior to 28, April 2021.
