PRESS RELEASE – MOBILITY AID DISTRIBUTION CAMP

As part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, on the occasion of India’s 73rd Republic Day, Defence Wing, Embassy of India organised a Mobility Aid Distribution Camp organised at Dharan under the aegis of PPO, Dharan for Bhu Puus of Indian Army & Assam Rifles. This camp is one of the many endeavours being undertaken by Defence Wing for the welfare of our Bhu Puus.

In this camp, 32 Divyangjan Bhu Puus & their family members were provided with Wheelchairs & Walking Aids. Bhu Puus & their family members who are suffering from age-related disability/infirmity and other health problems were proactively identified during pension documentation camps & rallies. Department of Orthopaedics, BPKIHS Dharan assisted in conducting the health checkup. The mobility aid will restore near normalcy in their bodily functions and empower them to connect with the mainstream society.

Defence Wing has been undertaking numerous special measures in the interest of its Bhu Puus & the society during the pandemic times to ease their difficulties. Various efforts include timely payment of pension, virtual identification, digitalisation, blood donation camps, ration distribution, mask and sanitiser distribution, aid to local administration, wheel chair distribution, new docu rallies to cover maximum areas etc.

Our efforts exhibits our concern & commitment towards the welfare of our Bhu Puus and the Nepali society.

भारतको ७३ औं गणतन्त्र दिवसको अवसरमा भारतीय राजदूतावासको रक्षा प्रभागले ‘आजादीका अमृत महोत्सव’ अन्तर्गतको कार्यक्रमको रुपमा धरानस्थित पेन्सन वितरण कार्यालयको तत्वावधानमा भारतीय सेना तथा आसाम राइफल्सका भूपू सैनिकका लागि धरानमा Mobility Aid Distribution Camp को आयोजना ग¥यो । यो शिविर भारतीय सेनाका भूपू सैनिकहरुको कल्याण हेतु रक्षा प्रभागले चालेका थुप्रै प्रयासहरुमध्येकै एक हो ।

यस शिविरमा ३२ जना दिव्यङ्गजन भूपू तथा वहाँहरुका परिवारका सदस्यहरुलाई ह्वीलचेयर तथा वैसाखी प्रदान गरिएको थियो । उमेर सम्बन्धी अशक्तता÷दुर्बलता र अन्य स्वास्थ्य समस्याबाट पीडित भूपू सैनिक तथा वहाँका परिवारका सदस्यहरुलाई पेन्सन डक्युमेन्टेसन क्याम्प तथा ¥यालीमार्फत पहिचान गरिएको थियो । धरानस्थित वी.पी. कोइराला स्वास्थ्य विज्ञान प्रतिष्ठानको अर्थोपेडिक्स विभागले स्वास्थ्य परीक्षणमा सहयोग गरेको थियो । यस किसिमको मोबिलिटी एडले पीडितहरुको शारीरिक क्रियाकलापमा सघाउदै वहाँहरुलाई समाजसँग जोड्न मद्दत गर्नेछ ।

महामारीको समयमा आफ्ना भूपू सैनिक तथा समाजको हित हुने काम गर्न तथा वहाँहरुको समस्या निराकरण गर्न रक्षा प्रभागले विविध उपायहरु अपनाइरहेको छ । समयमै पेन्सनको भुक्तानी, भर्चुअल आइडेन्टिफिकेसन, डिजिटलाइजेसन, रक्तदान शिविर, रासन वितरण, मास्क तथा स्यानिटाइजरको वितरण, स्थानीय प्रशासनलाई सहयोग, ह्वीलचेयरको वितरण, धेरै भन्दा धेरै क्षेत्रहरु समेट्न नयाँ डक्युमेन्टेसन ¥याली जस्ता विभिन्न कार्यहरु प्रभागले गर्दै आएको छ ।

हाम्रा भूपू सेना तथा नेपाली समाजको कल्याणका लागि हामीले चालेका प्रयासहरुले हाम्रो चासो र प्रतिबद्घतालाई जनाउँछ ।
