Since 2004, the Government of India has been organizing “Know India Programmes” (KIPs) for the Indian youth diaspora in the age group of 18-30, with an objective to connect them with their motherland and to give them an exposure about the various aspects of contemporary India’s form of Art, Culture and heritage etc. This programme is meant for Diaspora of third generation and beyond. Participants have to bear 10% of total cost and 90% will be borne by Government.
2. In this series, the Government has decided to organize six KIPs during the Financial Year 2019-20. Out of these six KIPs, the Government has already announced three Know India Programmes (54th, 55th & 56th) on the KIP portal in May 2019 and remaining three KIPs i.e. 57th, 58th and 59th has been announced now.
