Third Batch of Nepali Officials Departs for Training on Natural Farming in India

A group of 50 officials from Nepal departed for India to participate in a five-day training programme on Natural Farming at Gurukul, Kurukshetra, from 29 September to 3 October 2026, excluding travel time. The programme is being fully sponsored by the Government of India. This is the third batch of Nepali officials to participate in the programme. The first and second batches successfully completed their training in September 2023 and August 2025, respectively.

The training programme is part of the Government of India’s initiative to strengthen capacity building and knowledge sharing in natural and sustainable farming practices. It provides participants an opportunity to gain practical exposure to natural farming techniques and exchange experiences and best practices in sustainable agriculture.

The initiative reflects the longstanding partnership between India and Nepal in the agriculture sector and the shared commitment of the two countries towards promoting sustainable and environmentally responsible agricultural practices.

The programme underscores India’s continued support for human resource development and capacity building in Nepal, in keeping with the close and multifaceted partnership between the two countries.
