Scholarship for Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Forestry & Allied Programmes under MEA-FRI Scholarship Scheme for academic year 2025-27
The Forest Research Institute, Dehradun is offering admission to Foreign Nationals to its flagship ‘Master of Science in Forestry & Allied Programmes’ for the academic year 2025-27. In this regard, the Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi has decided to award 10 scholarships to the students from BIMSTEC countries.

How to apply:
The candidates are required to submit three set of applications with relevant notarized documents on or before 15 May 2025 by post/courier or personally at the Education Wing of the Embassy of India, Kathmandu between 09:30 hrs. to 12:30 hrs. along with the following documents:
i. Duly filled application form with one recent passport size photograph pasted on it. (3 sets)
ii. Notary Public attested photocopy of Date of Birth certificate issued by Municipality.
iii. Notary Public attested photocopy of marks sheets, certificates and degrees of examinations passed.
iv. Notary Public attested photocopy of citizenship (in English transcript) of self, father & mother.
v. Notary Public attested photocopy of character certificate issued by the university/institution last attended.
Please Note:
The applications which are incomplete or the requisite documents are either not submitted or are not properly notarized, will not be considered for scholarship.
Important Information:
The Embassy of India, Kathmandu entertains applications directly from the applicant himself/herself only. The Embassy does not recognize or receive applications through any so called Education Consultants/Middle- men/Agencies in Nepal. Students are advised to beware of such unscrupulous persons/agencies. Applications found to have been received through such agencies/persons are liable to be rejected.
