2nd International Entrepreneurship Conclave - Connect-IN to be held on January 19, 2019 at Hotel Yak & Yeti

The 2nd International Entrepreneurship Conclave- Connect IN being organized by Embassy of India in association with Clock b Business Innovations will be held in Kathmandu on January 19, 2019.    The event has been receiving immense interests from entrepreneurs, investors, incubators, consultants and start-up ecosystem players from both Nepal and India.  Chief Adviser to Rt. Hon’ble Prime Minster of Nepal and Patron GEFONT H.E. Mr. Bishnu Prasad Rimal has consented to be the Chief Guest.

 

            Five CEOs/ Investors from India and more than 15 from Nepal would be addressing the audience that would comprise young entrepreneurs from both countries.  This includes, from India, Mr. Vikrant Gugnani, Founder, Trans Asia Ventures & You First Ventures, Mr. Aditya Ghosh, CEO, OYO (India & South Asia), Mr. Varun Saraf, Venture Philanthropist and Ms. Thryza Dow, Manager, Blinc Ventures.

 

            From Nepal, the speakers would include Mr. Ranjit Acharya, CEO, Prisma Advertising, Mr. Hemraj Dhakal, Co-founder & MD, IME Group, Mr. Narottam Aryal, Executive Director, King’s College, Mr. Sushil Pokharel, CEO of Sushmit Group, Ms. Santoshi Rana, Founder,  Bihani Social Ventures, Mr. Kuber Chalise, Editor, Karobar Daily and Mr. Asgar Ali, IT Consultant to Prime Minister of Nepal, among others.

 

            Through extensive outreach events at Kathmandu, Pokhara, Birgunj, Chitwan and Biratnagar and 4 months of campaign, 10 college level activities, 30 days of mentorships and incubation, Embassy of India and Clock b managed to reach out to more than 500,000 entrepreneurial minds of Nepal.  In all, more than 1500 entrepreneurs have registered for the event out of which 600 would be screened for attending the Conclave. More than 100 start-ups showed interest in pitching for investments, 52 were screened for auditions and 6 start-ups have been shortlisted for pitching at the finale.  These firms are : Airlift Technology, Maker Vally, Offering Happiness, Walkman Green Coins and Swadeshi Innovations from Nepal and Unschool from India.
